As an independent business we very much value your custom, however, as with all businesses, regardless of size, we hope you can appreciate the necessity to put in place the following terms and conditions to ensure the best experience for all of our guests.


Booking Terms & Conditions

1.1 Main Booking Terms & Conditions

All Bristol Wine School attendees must be 18 years of age or over at the time of attending a course with us.

Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment to Bristol Wine School.

Bristol Wine School Gift Vouchers are strictly valid for 12 months from date of issue, and recipients must book and attend the course within the 12 months.

It is the sole responsibility of the gift recipient to find an available course to book and attend with Bristol Wine School within 12 months from the date of issue.

Bristol Wine School will not extend gift voucher redemption dates beyond 12 months from the date of issue under any circumstance.

Bristol Wine School gift vouchers are fully non - refundable, but may be transferred to another person should you be unable to book and attend a course within the 12 month time frame.

Bristol Wine School gift vouchers have no cash value, cannot be used in conjunction with any offers or discounts and cannot be redeemed against goods or services.

Bristol Wine School would kindly ask you to refrain from consuming alcohol prior to an event or tasting with us to ensure the best experience for yourselves and all of our guests and tutors

Bristol Wine School reserves the right to refuse entry if we believe that a customer is already under the influence of alcohol. This applies equally to private and corporate bookings.

Discount codes are only to be redeemed against the full course price, and not against part payments or in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

1.2 Cancellations & Transfers

Should the course date you are booked onto become unsuitable, we strictly require a minimum of 10 full working days notice to refund you or to transfer your booking to an alternative date.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made at less than 10 full working days notice.

If you are unable to attend the event you are booked for with less than 10 working days notice you are welcome to send someone else in your place. Bristol Wine School requires advance written notice by email to info@bristolwineschool.co.uk a minimum of 60 minutes before your event.

It is the sole responsibility of all attendees to ensure arrival at the venue destination by the advertised starting time, allowing sufficient travel time for traffic, transport delays, train cancellations etc. Bristol Wine School is not liable for any delays and we will not offer any refunds or transfers if you are late or unable to reach the venue.

Bristol Wine School will not be liable for any costs or expenses in the event of a course postponement or cancellation. If you are booking transport or accommodation we strongly recommend that you seek appropriate insurance.

If you are unable to attend a class due to adverse weather conditions our booking and cancellation policy still apply, however, at our sole discretion we may offer alternative dates for a replacement class.  

In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel or postpone a course, Bristol Wine School cannot guarantee that the alternative dates offered will be for an event at the same time of day or same day of the week.

1.3 Dietary Requirements

Where food samples are provided Bristol Wine School must be notified in advance of any food allergies as requested on the booking form completed at booking, or by email if not included on the booking form.

We will attempt to accommodate dietary requirements where possible but cannot guarantee that an alternative option will be available at all events. It is the responsibility of the customer to check with us directly that alternatives will be offered.

Our partner venues will be happy to accommodate dietary requirements with prior notice as above where a meal is served as part of the course. It is the responsibility of the individual concerned to check with us the suitability of food offered either in advance by email or at the start of the event.

1.4 Safe and Responsible Drinking

All Bristol Wine School attendees must be 18 years of age or over at the time of attending a course with us. We operate a very strict age policy and will ask for identification of any guests believed to be under 21. We will always refuse entry of anyone believed to be under 18.

We operate a very strict responsible drinking policy. We will refuse entry to any individual who is intoxicated on arrival and will ask to leave any individual showing signs of intoxication over the duration of an event with us. It is the responsibility of each individual to adhere to this and no refunds will be given in either circumstance.

We will always provide spittoons, crackers/bread and water, but strongly advise all of our guests to never drive after a tasting. Even if you are spitting it is impossible to calculate alcohol absorption and effect for any individual. We reserve the right to refuse you if we believe you will be driving.
